DeSantis is Too Extreme for Florida. His Ambitions Hurt Florida Families
FLORIDA– Tonight’s sole debate between Governor Ron Desantis and Congressman Charlie Crist, confirmed what Floridians needed to hear before casting their ballots for Florida’s next choice of leadership. With early voting beginning today, still thousands of voters do not have access due to the impacts of hurricane Ian.
The safety, freedom, and well-being of Floridians are on the line this November. Executive Director of Florida Rising, Andrea Mercado, made the following statement:
“Tonight, the contrast between a Florida for all of us or a Florida where Ron DeSantis continues to try to divide and distract while selling the state to his corporate donors was clear. We heard from a candidate that will protect Floridians’ freedoms and it’s not Ron DeSantis. We heard from a leader who recognizes that the current governor’s policies have made it harder for hardworking Floridians to get by and pledged to do something about it.
Florida needs a leader who will respect the freedom of choice and place people over profit. The decision is clear, we need to elect a leader who believes in common sense and will work with every community to help all Florida families. Florida’s new majority chooses Charlie Crist.”
